This is the latest highly defined Xi Shi ZiSha work embarked by our latest Craftsman Chen Gui Zhi. Chen Gui Zhi is a good Craftsman and have been invited by Zhang Huan, Chen Fa Chu and Gu Xiao Ming to join us in a happy family team of dedicated Craftsmen! We are honoured to have her with us! Amongst the first few models, Chen Gui Zhi performs for all of you friends, this very lovely Xi Shi, IN RED JIANG PO NI! You have seen how Craftsman Gu Xiao Ming handles the Zi Ni : Xi Shi, and here Craftsman Chen Gui Zhi takes care of the Jiang Po Ni version with aplomb.
Appreciate Craftsman Chen Gui Zhi’s DILIGENCE. Being of Hong Jiang Po Ni with a high percentage of Hong Ni inherent within the unadulterated Jiang Po Ni ore, it has a significant amount of shrinkage during firing, and hence even higher degrees of failure rates. Chen Gui Zhi diligently crafted this Xi Shi with 1) a svelte body shape that is heightened and thus very round and adorable, 2) a largish spout for a very quick pour and emptying of tea during serving, and yes, that delectable:
纳底, Na Di, crafted base: sporting the carefully and perfectly pressed to contour/shape without breaking. "Na Di" 纳底 , the "pushed in", coaxed in, pressed-in concave base. Delectable.
Craftsman Chen also conscientiously sculpted a 手推内球孔 Hand-Pushed Spherical Filter to increase the number of filter holes for a solid and fast pour of tea out, working with the largish diameter spout; and with better catching of tea leaves at the bottom fast while allowing tea to flow out from the upper holes.
The Fraternity-recognised: Puffer Fish silhouette iteration of this Xi Shi spout, is crafted here, which accommodates the more generous lumen/outflow, FURTHER accentuating and aiding the swiftness of pour.
The Na Di base is sculpted intensely so that tea stains don't form easily due to the static pot in touch with the tea liquids on the tea table. Excellent form. Experience only gained through painstaking efforts through the years.
