Qin Quan 秦权, 232.2ml, Hong Jiang Po Ni (rarer form of Jiang Po Ni) 红降坡泥, by our Collaborative Craftsman Chen Gui Zhi 陈桂枝。
Skilful Chen Gui Zhi has joined us officially since June 2024, having been invited by Zhang Huan, Chen Fa Chu and Gu Xiao Ming to join us in a happy family team of dedicated Craftsmen! We are honoured to have her with us! Amongst the first few models, Chen Gui Zhi had performed for all of you friends, the very lovely Xi Shi, IN RED JIANG PO NI!
Chen Fa Chu had presented many specimens of the Qin Quan before. He passes the baton here to Chen Gui Zhi, who is extremely adroit with Hong (Red) Jiang Po Ni.
Appreciate Craftsman Chen Gui Zhi’s DILIGENCE. Being of Hong Jiang Po Ni with a high percentage of Hong Ni inherent within the unadulterated Jiang Po Ni ore, it has a significant amount of shrinkage during firing, and hence even higher degrees of failure rates.
Look at this beautifully-crafted Qin Quan, with a full yet extremely svelte shape. The contours are a delight to behold. Its silhouette has a slight delightful bulge in the midline, making it wider in girth than the base. The lid's contour joins smoothly with the body, and the curves of the lid knob ~ Spout ~ Handle all match up cohesively, as Gui Zhi's keen eye for aesthetics shine through.
Craftsman Chen also conscientiously sculpted a 手推内球孔 Hand-Pushed Spherical Filter to increase the number of filter holes for a solid and fast pour of tea out, working with the largish diameter spout; and with better catching of tea leaves at the bottom fast while allowing tea to flow out from the upper holes.

Qin Quan means Emperor Qin's Authority. This Stately and a Stalwart, Lasting ZiSha is designed to epitomise, emanate and reflect the Authority of Emperor Qin, who is the first Emperor to unify all of China's written Chinese characters, and the Emperor who steered the building of The Great Wall, and the Emperor who unified the system of weight. His astuteness, stewardship and authority shines through in history and he is an ancient Emperor that remains to this date, one of the most critical figures that shape China and its history.
To reflect Emperor Qin's major contribution of unifying China's weighing system, Qin Quan was designed in the Qing Dynasty in the extreme likeness of the Classic weight that Emperor Qin designed: the Cheng4 Tuo3 秤砣 :-D !
