傲寒, its two characters,
傲 as in 傲立, 傲视群雄, meaning proudly standing tall, proudly overlooking the rest.
寒 is cold, and infers to the winter.
Xue Lei wisely designed this Ornate class work, with the features crafted in likeness to the Plum Blossoms. Because Plum Blossoms is the only flower that will bloom and also persevere through the winter, Xue Lei crafted this work in likeness of the Plum Blossoms, and named this work 傲寒, to inspire the user to have strength of good character that will enable one to traverse the toughest times. A more literal meaning is to stand tall, majestically, and with perseverance, through difficult times.
Through the practice of patience, kindness and letting go in our tea practice, this work reminds, inspires and motivates us artistically, to have one in a million's strength as well.

Take part in this exciting, fulfilling and enlivening part of the Chinese Culture!
Assoc Master Zhang chose for this application, Lao Duan Ni for crafting.
Perfection and Flair, Detail and Grit, all rolled into one as usual for every piece of Artwork he delivers! Yes, as he says, "every piece that comes out from his studio"!
In the photos of the inner, there will be paired photos of the inner corresponding to the outer features, showcasing another gruelling aspect of Ornate work, Xue Lei coaxing each part slowly to accommodate the feature on the outside which he will craft and sculpt up! No extraneous clays. All delicately and strongly featured.
Painstaking planning in design, preparation and crafting.
Zhang Xue Lei's certificate contains the ZiSha work, hand-drawn and sketched from his art pencils. He has learnt sketching and drawing as well. Here he translates this other skill of his: lovingly and proudly onto the certificate you hold with this work.

For your information, Zhang Xue Lei does not craft 光器Austere (e.g. Xi Shi, Fang Gu)/ 方器Polygonal/筋囊器Segmental-Corollary works for sale. If you Google and trawl the net, and you find Austere/Polygonal/Segmental-Corollary pots "made by Zhang Xue Lei" sold by other retailers, they are all false. Even if these pots bear "his stamp", they are not his works. Avoid. They are all duds (jigger-machined pots or half-handmade factory-line products stamped with Counterfeit Stamps). And such stamps and certificates from these retailers are faked. Such Chinese sites (bogus retailers) are ubiquitous. If they are prevalent in China, imagine all the cookie-cut sites in English language made and designed to dupe the Westerners. With AI, such sites can be drafted up really fast, and many retailers cookie-cut and paste photos from Taobao, where they get their central source jigger-machined pots from. These sources have centralised photo-taking by the sourcing factory, and then distributed to their retailers.
Again, we reiterate, Zhang Xue Lei does not craft such Austere/Polygonal/Segmental-Corollary pots for sale. He only crafts Ornate Class works, and he only avails them with us at RealZiSha.
